I was away from my comfort zone for 2 days.
Trip to Pulau Ubin for a camp there, weather was so good (damn sunny) that I've sunburn and B called me Rudolph.
Well, on the other hand, its good, as I've been really fair for quite sometime.
Out of 21 students in my class, 17 turned up, comparing to other classes, we are the bigger team.
The camp was pleasant, mass spamming of mosquito repellent and i'm safe from the mozzies, except for a few bites.
Kayaking on the first day was great! My first time kayaking, and i love it!
Except for the part when all of us capsized, well not exactly, we just wanted to jump into the water.
The scenery at the quarry was beautiful!
With our 'home' on our back all the while,we managed to walk to our base camp.
Pitch the tents, cooked dinner, chit chats and sleeping time.
Drizzles in the middle of the night though, and some unpleasant matters occurred between us and another team.
We're to assemble at 8.30am with the packing of things, tear down the tents, wash up and breakfast done.
Woke up at 5 plus to wash up and catch the sunrise which is supposedly to rise at 6.53am, but we did not manage to catch it, as it was too cloudy ):
Trekking starts from approx 9 till 1.30 and met the rest of the teams to board the boat back to Changi.
Lunch was on the go, which also means we eat and drink as we trek.
Trekking was tiring, but all of us being together and helping one another made things nice and awesome!
We saw wild boars, monkeys, birds, monitor lizards and crabs(i think).
The hitman's house was really old, but there are his descendants staying there, he passed away a few years back.
Chek Jawa's scenery was magnificent although we went there in the afternoon with the damn frigging hot weather, it was all worth it!
We carried our rations in our bag, squeezing and all of our bags are max out whereby there's totally no space for anymore rations and drinks.
As for water, 2 big white really huge bottles are carried by the guys and there's water bags 5 of them( i think there's 2 litres in each water bags and 5 litres in those huge bottles)
And no, we cant leave any littles in Ubin, so we had a trash bag, bring it there and back to changi to dispose it.
Nonetheless, helpful classmates helped each other along the way (:
Y2S1 is yet another awesome class i've been in, and i love them as much as i love my Y1S1 classmates!
