Hello February.
This also meant that we are only left with 11 more months to go before another year starts again.
For us, Chinese, we officially started the year of horse just a few days back on 31st Jan 2014. Haha. We are cool like that!
Chinese New Year came by so quickly that we are now into the fifth day in terms of the Lunar calendar.

I'm so glad that i'm on off from Thursday onward to Sunday!
This allows me to have more time to pack and prepare for the new year and reunion dinner.

Thursday, 30th Jan 2014.
This is also the last day of 2013 and we will have a reunion dinner to start the new year together as a family.
Some food that Sis and I prepared for the steamboat dinner that night as mum was working.
Some of my paternal side relatives came for dinner, but there was this particular one person that pissed me off earlier in the morning came as well. Technically she was invited by mum a few days back but she rejected her, and out of the blue, she came while we were in the midst of dinner. What could we do but to welcome her with a poker face. LOL
It was also the 'shou ye' night. It also meant that we (children) are to stay up to late night, it is said that the longer you stay awake, the longer your parents will live. And for that, i stayed up till 3am while the previous night, 4am. Haha.
The first day of Chinese New Year! Friday, 31st Jan 2014!
HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR EVERYONE! :)
For the past years, paternal relatives will visit my place in the evening. But this year, they decided to go over to my 4th aunt place first.
Lucky me, get to sleep in till late and nua at home before setting off to that one place before the day comes to an end.
Usual tradition, gave my parents each a red packet to start the new year right and well! :)

New year new wallet! Sis officially unwrap it and use it on the very first day of CNY, while mine was on 1st Jan. Technically it can be considered new wallet still? Haha.
Moving on to the second day of CNY, Saturday, 1st Feb 2014!
Have always loved the second day of CNY because we are gonna visit my maternal side relatives! And I will always look forward to the second day of CNY!
Rise and shine early in the morning to go to the temple just behind our house for prayers.
Then here we go setting off to Grandma's place! This year is different because Grandpa is not around. But we offered our prayers to him.
Oh also, love joined my family as well because his family doesn't have any visiting to do this year, surprisingly.
My family reached Grandma's place first followed by Jia Yi's family! So we are the first few to receive Grandma's red packet! Huat ah! :)
Then once again, we tried and recreate our old photos. Haha. It's so funny the poses and look at how much we've grown.
There are a few more but didn't make it into a collage.
It's finally time for us the young ones to eat! Pure indulgence with the food. Haha. Love it!
Went into the maid's room and found my fatty cousin fast asleep on her bed. Haha, always.

I honestly could not recognise Pepper at all when she came running to Grandma's place.

Third day of CNY, 2nd Feb 2014.
Visited love's place and we went for a jog together with his mum.
A really pretty red packet from love's parents.
Since my dad side relatives are coming over to my place, my love kindly took public transport with me all the way back to my house as the car was not around.
Here are my paternal side cousins, as usual not all are here in the photo.
With this, it sums up the fifth week of the new year.
